Dales Faith – Relationship, Community, Partnership
Charlie Hart
“The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”
Isaiah 50:4
Charlie is a Baptist Community Minister who has lived in and around the Dales nearly all his life. He lives in Bedale, is married to Karen and spends much of his time being a Dad and Grandpa to their six children and three grandchildren. Having taught in a number of schools around the area Charlie left teaching in 2010 to begin a new chapter of life pioneering different ways to connect with and support people who find their lives broken by debt, poor mental health, and other circumstances and end up on the margins of community. Having recently completed an MA in Theology he is passionate about studying the Bible and sharing this with others.
“I have seen lives transformed when people have encountered Jesus, my own included. So, as far as I’m concerned the best thing I can do is introduce people to him because he is the only one who can heal our brokenness and bring us joy in this life, and genuine hope for the future.”

An Invitation to Participate

If your gift is poetry or prose, prayers or reflections, writing or painting then maybe you might be willing to share it with others through our Community Contributions. Here’s how…
